Secured Behavioral Unit

This secured Behavioral Unit is designed to safely care for people experiencing a mental health crisis who would benefit from a calm, structured environment. The staff is dedicated to providing care for those residents with behavioral needs. Residents who smoke are permitted to smoke at scheduled times on a private patio. The unit also has a large space for any group activities and social interaction.

Memory Care

Secure Memory Care Unit

Hickory Creek offers a secure unit to residents with memory and cognitive impairments. Our unit provides personalized care plans, daily activities related to the individuals life and interests and a calming environment that reduces behavioral disturbances related to dementia. Our unit is staffed with professionals that have been thoroughly trained in dementia with weekly visits with a Geriatric Psychiatrist.

Ventilator Care

	Ventilator Services Full-time Respiratory therapy along with experienced nursing and frequent pulmonologist visits makes Hickory Creek's ventilator care one of the best known and frequently recommended programs in Southeast Ohio. Now accepting non-invasive ventilator patients.
	Respiratory Unit Our Respiratory Unit provides services to those individuals requiring extended and long-term levels of care. Our top rated respiratory therapist and medical staff provide continuity of Pulmonary care services for those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory disorders such as COPD, Lung Cancer, Emphysema, Pneumonia, Covid Recovery, and Pleural Effusion.

Our 114 bed, all private room, skilled nursing facility employs highly trained registered nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you are seeking short-term or long-term care our clinical team, including our registered nurses, licensed therapists and dietitians, will be here to provide the highest possible level of care.

Therapy Services

	Physical Therapy Our in-patient and out-patient physical therapy is designed to help you maximize strength and endurance to regain independence and general mobility within the home setting. Our therapists provide an innovative approach, 7 days a week, while progressing patients to their maximum potential allowing for a safe transition to home.
	Occupational Therapy Our Occupational Therapy focuses on identifying and eliminating environmental barriers to independence and maintain the skills for activities of daily living. Our program specializes in restoring function following hospitalization, or illness, which resulted in the inability to complete bathing, dressing, and home management.
	Speech Therapy Our speech therapists work to develop individual goals for each patient, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders and swallowing disorders. Our highly trained therapists are available 7 days a week for our patients ever changing needs.

Respite and Hospice Services

	Respite Care Our respite program provides planned short-term and time-limited breaks for families and other care givers. This service can also provide the day-to-day supportive services, as well as social stimulation, engagement, activities and communal needs for the patient.
