April Employee of the Month

Congratulations to our April Employee of the Month at Hickory Creek of Athens — Tyler Rose! Tyler has been a valued member of our team for nearly 10 years. He began his career with us as an aide and, after graduating from Hocking College in 2021, transitioned into his role as an LPN. Since then, Tyler has continued to grow, lead by example, and be a truly incredible part of our nursing team.

When our staff voted for Employee of the Month, it was no surprise that Tyler received so many heartfelt nominations. His coworkers had so many kind things to say: “Always helpful,” “A team player who helps everyone when asked, picks up shifts when needed, and is kind and caring to the residents,” “Always greets you with a smile,” “Willing to go the extra mile,” and “Respects the aides and residents. Overall, a great nurse!” It’s clear that Tyler's compassion, dedication, and team spirit have not gone unnoticed.

Tyler shared that he was inspired to become a nurse after seeing the care his grandparents received. That experience sparked his desire to provide the same level of love and support to others. His favorite part of the job is making residents laugh and smile — something he does so well every single day. His advice to new nurses is: “Nursing is a serious job, but you don’t always have to be serious all the time — have fun in the career.” Wise words from someone who leads with heart and humor!

Outside of work, Tyler has some exciting hobbies! He enjoys motorcycle racing, rock music, and staying active. He’s a fan of Redbull KTM Racing and his favorite dirt bike is a KTM 250 2-Stroke. Did you know that Tyler is a GNCC Championship winner from 2014!?

We are so lucky to have Tyler as part of our Hickory Creek family. His dedication to his residents and teammates truly reflects the heart of our mission — “Our Family Taking Care of Your Family.” Congratulations, Tyler! Thank you for all you do!
