May Employee of the Month

For over 35 years, Trudy Kazee has been a treasured part of the Hickory Creek family. Starting her career as an STNA, Trudy has worn many hats, but today she’s the friendly, familiar face who greets everyone at our front desk with warmth and kindness. Her cheerful “Welcome to Hickory Creek” is more than a greeting—it’s a heartfelt reflection of the care and compassion she brings to work every day.



Trudy’s love for her job shines brightest in the way she connects with our residents. She cherishes the stories they share and finds true joy in being part of their lives. Her dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—co-workers describe her as a team player who goes above and beyond, always willing to help on any unit, step in where needed, and do whatever it takes to support residents and staff alike.

Outside of work, Trudy is just as devoted to her family. She enjoys time in the kitchen baking her famous Chocolate No-Bake Cookies, spending time with her “grand-dogs,” and planning her favorite beach getaways filled with sunshine, seafood, and plenty of snacks (chips are a must!).
